PERKINSTON — Four members of the 2023-24 Perkette dance team at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College will be continuing their collegiate careers at four-year schools.
Perkette Coach and Spirit Coordinator Britney Patten recently held a signing ceremony for the four dancers, who are headed to three NCAA Division I programs:
- Amelia Green, Mississippi State University Pom Squad
- Annelise Blakeney, Southeastern Louisiana University Lionettes Dance Team
- Amber McCardle, University of South Alabama Prowlers Dance Team
- Carolina Hairston, University of South Alabama Prowlers Dance Team
“We are thrilled that our exceptional dance athletes have advanced to the next level, continuing their passion for dance at prestigious universities,” Patten said. “We are incredibly proud of these talented MGCCC Dance Alumni and eagerly anticipate the bright futures that lie ahead for them. Their dedication and hard work are an inspiration to us all.”
