PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast dropped a pair of games to No. 6 Jones on Tuesday at Ross-Smith Field.
The Bulldogs lost the first game 6-0 and the second 11-1 in five innings.
In the opener, Jett Harrell (So., Clarksdale/Lee Academy) and Olivia Keith (So., Crestview, Fla./Crestview) had the only hits for Gulf Coast.
In the second game, Kamryn LaFosse (So., Lake Charles, La./Sam Houston) singled in a run for the Bulldogs in the first to tie the game at 1.
Aleah Beaugez (Fr., D’Iberville/D’Iberville) and Jorja Roberson (So., Branyan/East Union) doubled.
Jones is now 23-9 overall, 10-2 MACCC.
Gulf Coast (25-13, 7-4) is back in action Thursday when East Mississippi visits Perk. First pitch is set for 1 p.m. Buy your tickets ahead of time to save money.
