PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast lost a pair of MACCC baseball games to No. 4 Pearl River on Tuesday at Ken “Curly” Farris Field.
The Wildcats won the opener 13-3 and the nightcap 13-1.
The Bulldogs had 12 hits in the opener but left a slew of runners on base. Brandon Cain (So., Mobile, Ala./Baker) and Kaden Irving had two hits and a home run each. Blake Roberts (So., Petal/Petal) and Keilon Parnell (Fr., Pascagoula/Pascagoula) also had two hits.
In the second game, Jayden Mark (So., Petal/Petal) had two of Gulf Coast’s three hits.
The Bulldogs (25-15, 11-9 MACCC) will be off this weekend on the open date in the conference schedule. They’ll return to action April 17 with a trip to Hinds.
