POPLARVILLE, Miss. — After standout weeks on the diamond, Pearl River softball’s Bryn Daughtery (Vancleave) and baseball’s Jeff Ince (Brandon; Jackson Prep) have been named Wildcats of the Weke.
BRYN DAUGHTERY
It was an electric week at the plate for Daughtery as the sophomore helped lead the Wildcats to a perfect 5-0 record. She wrapped up the week 8-for-13 with four doubles, one triple and five RBIs. She also drew a walk and scored two runs.
Daughtery also chipped in a fantastic appearance in the circle, throwing five shutout innings and only allowing three hits and one walk. She picked up three strikeouts.
JEFF INCE
Ince was a major force in Pearl River’s four-game sweep of Baton Rouge last week, hitting .583 with one homer, one triple and one double. He drove in five RBIs, walked three times and stole three bases.
Additionally, Ince’s stellar defensive play at second base landed him on SportsCenter’s Top 10 Plays.
