PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast will have special events and nights at all four of its home regular-season football games in 2024.
The Bulldogs’ first home game will be Sept. 12 when Jones visits for a crucial MACCC South showdown. It will be In The Blue Night, where all fans should wear blue. The college will also recognize its In the Blue award winners, given to employees at the college who go above and beyond to provide the best for our students.
The second home game is Sept. 26 when archrival Pearl River comes to A.L. May Memorial Stadium. That will be the White Out games, where all fans should wear white. It’s also Military and First Responder Night. All active duty, veteran or retired members of the military and first responders will be admitted to the game for free and be honored on the field.
It will be a month before the next home game, but it will be worth the wait as Homecoming takes place Oct. 26 when Coahoma visits. The usual weekend of activities will start with the Clem Dellenger Memorial Golf Tournament on Friday. Saturday will include a service at Gregory War Memorial Chapel, a cookout, pep rally, and pre-game and halftime ceremonies recognizing reunion groups, honorees and the Homecoming court.
The final home game will be played on Oct. 31. When Hinds visits, it will be Cancer Awareness Night. Healthcare Workers will be admitted for free and honored.
In addition, Gulf Coast will be hosting its usual University Nights where four-year schools will be on hand to meet with Gulf Coast students and take part in the festivities. The schedule will be:
- Sept. 12: Mississippi State University Night
- Sept. 26: University of Mississippi Night
- Oct. 26: William Carey University Day
- Oct. 31: University of Southern Mississippi Night
