PERKINSTON — Will Burnham and Aleah Beaugez have been named Bulldogs of the Week for March 18-24.
Burnham, a sophomore from Jackson, shot 1-under to finish second, two shots behind the medalist at the Tiger Invitational in Corinth. Gulf Coast won its eighth straight tournament, this time beating the MACCC field by 23 shots.
Beaugez, a freshman shortstop from D’Iberville, batted .700 leading Mississippi Gulf Coast to a 5-0 week. She had three doubles and a triple, slugging 1.200 and getting on base more than 83 percent of the time. In a doubleheader sweep at Holmes, she went 4-for-5 with three doubles.

Blake King, a sophomore righty from Petal, threw a four-hitter to beat Holmes 6-3. He struck out five and allowed just two earned runs.
Kaden Irving, a freshman infielder from Gautier, batted .600 during a 3-1 week for Gulf Coast. In a 13-7 win over Holmes, had went 4-for-4 with a double and two RBI. He homered in a two-hit game to help beat Southwest Mississippi 10-3.
Kylee Necaise, a sophomore from Gulfport, went 3-0 with three complete games. She allowed just two earned runs in beating Lake County, Southwest Mississippi and Holmes.
