POPLARVILLE, Miss. — The Pearl River women’s basketball team isn’t done yet. The National Junior College Athletic Association announced its 24-team field for the upcoming Division I Women’s National Tournament and the Wildcats earned an at-large bid and the No. 13 seed.
The tournament in Casper, Wyoming is scheduled to run March 26 – April 1. The Wildcats will square off with 20-seed Eastern Arizona on March 26 at 8 p.m. CT. The winner advances to face 4-seed Collin County on March 28 at 1 p.m. CT.
“We are elated for our program with the growth it has made from nine years ago to today,” head coach Scotty Fletcher said. “Every team ends their season somewhere and our goal when we started this season was to end it where the national tournament was.
