Resurrection will play its fourth game of the young prep football season Friday night, and the Eagles will be doing it in their third different venue despite this being their third home game in the first four weeks of the current campaign.
Resurrection will host former Region 8-1A foe Mt. Olive Friday night at War Memorial Stadium in Pascagoula. The Eagles played their first two home games at Gautier High, sandwiched around a trip to Hattiesburg to face Presybeterrian Christian for their only road game and lone loss on the season.
The Eagles are coming off a 26-20 win over yet another former league rival Richton last week in Gautier.
At this point, Resurrection is scheduled to play their final three home games in Pascagoula. If the Eagles are fortunate enough to qualify for the Class 1A South State playoffs, the site of any postseason home games has yet to be determined.

228Sports Player of the Week

Biloxi’s Jalen Anderson produced one of the best all-around football performances in the 120-year-plus history of the Indian program history Friday night.
And his performance has earned him the 228Sports Player of the Week as sponsored by Turfmasters.
The speedy versatile junior standout Anderson scored a touchdown in three different phases of the game against visiting George County at the Biloxi Sports Complex as Biloxi bombed the Rebels 34-14 to move to 2-1 on the young season. The swifty 5-foot-9 Anderson hauled in a key 45-yard scoring pass on the final play of the first half, and then he returned an interception 47-yards for a touchdown and also added a 14-yard scoop and score in the Indians big win.
And, he also blocked a punt in the first quarter that Bryce Hooker and picked up and scored from 14-yards out as well and Anderson also added a second fumble recovery later in the game as well.
