PERKINSTON — Laurel Conley and Trey Hall have been named Bulldogs of the Week for Sept. 2-8.

Conley, a freshman keeper from Ocean Springs, stopped four shots to record a shutout in a 3-0 win over Pensacola State. She’s played in three college games and recorded three shutouts.

Hall, a sophomore running back from Vicksburg, ran for 122 yards and a touchdown in Mississippi Gulf Coast’s 43-7 win at Mississippi Delta. He averaged 6.8 yards per carry and also caught a pass for 12 yards.

Also nominated:

Jennifer Lopez, a freshman forward from Gautier, had the second goal in a 3-0 win over Pensacola State at Perk.

Victor Moerck, a sophomore from Vaerlose, Denmark, scored goals in both games last week for Mississippi Gulf Coast. He had a goal in a 3-0 win at East Central, then added another in a 2-1 win over No. 19 Mineral Area.

Connor Mullins, a freshman kicker/punter from Brandon, handled all kicks on a rainy night in Mississippi Gulf Coast’ 43-7 win at Mississippi Delta. He punted twice for a 44.5-yard average with one downed inside the 20. He made 5 of 6 point-afters, and had one touchback on six kickoffs.

David Ruiz Ospina, a sophomore from Manizales, Colombia, got another shutout and another win against a top-20 opponent. He stopped all four shots in a 3-0 win at East Central, and he had two saves to be No. 19 Mineral Area 2-1.

Keshawn Thomas, a sophomore linebacker from Ocean Springs, led Gulf Coast with 7 total tackles in No. 6 Mississippi Gulf Coast’s 43-7 win at Mississippi Delta.
