In the 72nd game of the rivalry, the Pass Christian Pirates (5-4 overall, 2-2 in Region 8-4A) beat the Bay High Tigers 49-35 on Thursday night at Francis McDonald Stadium in Pass Christian.
The Pirates used their high-octane offense to account for 483 yards and their defense finished with six tackles for loss and three interceptions in the regular-season finale played just east of the Bay St. Louis Bridge.

The scoring summary
Pass Christian senior running back Jacquez Alexander-Dedeaux scored the first two touchdowns before Bay High (2-8, 1-3) got past midfield. Alexander-Dedeaux ran up the middle of the field for both TDs after 10 plays.
The Tigers got on the board on a 26-yard carry by senior running back Jaylen Antoine with 5:52 left in the first quarter.
Pass Christian quarterback Paris Trivillion jetted in from 7 yards out on the first play of the second quarter to give the Pirates a 20-7 lead after a blocked extra point.

After a long drive on the next possession, which resulted in Antoine’s 4-yard touchdown run, the Pirates scored 15 unanswered points and had two interceptions that left the halftime score at 35-14.
In the third quarter, Bay High put together a 13-play drive that resulted in quarterback Xander Ladner scoring on a 1-yard sneak to cut into the Pirates’ lead at 35-21, but this would be as close as the Tigers got.
Pass Christian countered with a six-play drive resulting in a 38-yard touchdown run by Trivillion.
In the fourth quarter, Trivillion found Alexander-Dedeaux on a short route that turned into an 87-touchdown reception up the sidelines for a 49-21 lead. The Tigers scored twice more but burned too much time and were unable to bring the game closer.

What the coach said
“For about 2½ quarters, I thought we played really well,” said Pass Christian coach Jeff Stockstill. “Defense was a little hit and miss early, I thought offense executed well and we forced two turnovers that put us in a great position.
“I thought then we took our foot off the gas and didn’t execute well.  If these guys want to win some games in the playoffs, we are going to have to get that taken care of.”
The numbers never lie
Trivillion led the Pass Christian offense with 225 yards passing on 8-of-16 attempts and two touchdown strikes along with 131 yards rushing and two touchdowns on the ground.
Alexander-Dedeaux was a top all-purpose player, combining for 147 yards on eight touches and three touchdowns while finishing with six tackles and an interception.
