Mississippi Gulf Coast dropped a pair of games Friday to NJCAA Division I squads in the Bulldogs’ first day at the Coyote Classic in Gulf Shores, Ala.
Gulf Coast lost 8-0 in five innings to Gulf Coast State. In the second game, the Bulldogs lost 7-0 to No. 11 Chattanooga State.
Jorja Roberson (So., Branyan/East Union) had two hits in the first game, half the Bulldogs’ offense. Kamryn LaFosse (So., Lake Charles, La./Sam Houston) had their only hit in the second game.
Gulf Coast (6-6) is scheduled to play Andrew College at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. The tournament is being hosted by Coastal Alabama.
