Jackson, Falcon named Bulldogs of the Week

PERKINSTON — Dom Jackson and Olivia Falcon have been named Bulldogs of the Week for April 15-21.

Jackson, a freshman from Gulf Breeze, Fla., batted .429 with two home runs, a double and nine RBI.

Falcon, a freshman from St. Amant, La., allowed just two runs in 11.1 innings during a 1-0 week. She beat Northwest Mississippi 8-0 in five innings with a three-hitter in the opener, then two innings of one-hit shutout relief in Game 2.

Also nominated:

Jett Harrell, a sophomore outfielder from Clarksdale, batted .467 with a home run, two doubles and three RBI.

Duarte Mestre, a freshman from Lisbon, Portugal, won all five of his matches for No. 13 Gulf Coast on the way to the Bulldogs’ third-place finish at the Region 23 Championship.
