POPLARVILLE, Miss. — An electric start on the mound for Pearl River baseball’s JT Schnoor (Pascagoula; Resurrection) has earned him the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference Pitcher of the Week award.
Schnoor only made one start on the week but made the most of it. On the road against Baton Rouge, Schnoor fired five innings of one-hit baseball while striking out an incredible eight batters. The Mississippi State signee did not allow any runs to cross the plate and only gave up one walk.
The right-hander has been fantastic to start the season for the Wildcats. He has thrown 11 1/3 innings across three starts this season and has yet to give up an earned run. He has only allowed two hits and three walks and struck out 17 batters.
