UNION GROVE, Ala. — The Pearl River women’s golf team made an improvement from day one to day two at the Snead State Invitational, finishing 12th overall. The Wildcats shot plus-200 in the opening round and followed with a plus-179 on day two.
Maya Morelos (Grambling, La.; Ruston) was PRCC’s top finisher, placing 51st. She shot plus-40 in round one and improved to plus-36 in round two.
Gracie Allgood (Laurel; West Jones) made a big jump from day one to day two to finish 57th. She opened the tournament with a score of plus-56 before improving by 18 strokes to plus-38.
Ashlynn Goss (Picayunel; Ignite Christian) was around the same score each day, shooting plus-48 and plus-53 each day. She earned 58th place.
Courtney Brewer (Petal) was 59th. She shot 56-over in round one and 52-over in round two.
Lilian Sanzin (Saucier; Harrison Central) rounded out the Wildcat efforts with a 61st place finish. She shot 63-over and 60-over, respectively.
NEXT UP
The Wildcats return to action Monday and Tuesday for the Jim Redgate Invitational hosted by Meridian. The tournament will take place at Briarwood Country Club.
