Longtime arch-rivals Biloxi and Gulfport split.a pair of exciting games over the weekend in Region 8-6 action.
And after an Admiral home win on Friday night, the Indians save their best for last at on on Saturday afternoon.
Biloxi bounced back from an 11-4 deficit going into the bottom of the sixth stanza to plate 11 runs of their own and pull out a thrilling 15-12 win at the Biloxi Sports Complex. The come-from-behind win, coupled with Tuesday’s 7-3 victory over the Admirals to open league play also at home, moved Biloxi to 2-1 and into a firstplace tie with Harrison Central in the region race.
Biloxi’s game-winning rally came on the heels of not only a 30-minute weather delay but also just after Gulfport had seemingly taken control of the contest with a six-run outburst of its own that put the Admirals up 12-4 after the top of the sixth.

Logan Fontenelle had two dits and a pair of RBIs for BHS, while Ja’Darius Hartley picked up a run-scoring double as well.
Sophomore Shawn Miguel Gollot, the last of a trio of Biloxi pitchers, picked up the win in relief.

On Friday, the Admirals took a 5-4 win in eight innings at home at Herbert Wilson Field to even the series up at 1-1 at that point.

Cameron Holt, the third of three BHS pitchers, took the tough-luck loss.
