Sam Powell booted a 22-yard field goal on the final play of the game as Hancock remained unbeaten with a 22-20 Homecoming win over Florence Friday night.
The win pushed the Hawks to a perfect 6-0 on the season with Region 4-6A action looming next week.
Hancock sits 6-0 in a season for the first time since the 2000 campaign.
D’Iberville 63, Wayne County 31
Don’t look now, but the Warriors have won two straight games after a sluggish start.
D’Iberville, coming off of an open week, hit the road to Waynesboro and thumped the home-standing War Eagles 63-31 Friday night. The Warrior’s dynamic backfield duo of Andre Crosby and Kevin Rogers combined for over 300 yards rushing and five touchdowns in the winning effort.
Crosby rambled for 193 yards and three scores, while Rogers added 108 yards and two touchdowns. Rogers also caught a pair of passes for 56 yards.
T.J. Jasper, Jordan Walley and Jayquan Havard also each added a scoring run apiece.
Resurrection 56, Salem 26
The Eagles opened Region 8-1A play with a big win on the road Friday night.
Daniel Pickens ran for just over 150 yards and tallied five scores, four touchdowns on the ground and a 26-yard touchdown toss from Luke Schnoor. Schnoor also hit Jaylen Harper on a 40-yard scoring strike and fullback Bryce Brown also added a touchdown run.
Resurrection moved to 4-1 with the win.

The Bearcats, who snapped a 29-game losing streak with a win two weeks ago, captured their first home win in over four years Friday night nipping the visiting Braves.
