Resurrection hosts East Marion in a big Region 8-1A game tonight at War Memorial Stadium in Pascagoula.
The Eagles host another flock of Eagles at War Memorial Stadium this week in a key Region 8-1A match-up. Resurrection is 2-0 in league play, while the Eagles from EMHS are 0-2 in the region race.
Resurrection moved to 2-0 in Region 8-1 play with its second straight league win on the road with a 36-6 win over Enterprise Lincoln last week. The Eagles, in all likelihood, wrapped up a playoff berth in the Class 1A South State playoffs with the win, as Daniel Pickens ran for just over 100 yards and three touchdowns and he also caught a two-point conversion from quarterback Luke Schnoor. Schnoor threw for a pair of touchdowns, including a 40-yard scoring strike to Jaylen Harper.
A win by RCS Friday night would ensure them a berth in the upcoming Class 1A South State playoffs for the ninth time in the past 10 seasons. Also, It’s Homecoming this week for RCS.

While co-owner Richard Chenoweth took care to preserve the building’s unique history, including preserving the old jail cell where prisoners were held until they could appear in court, and an old vault.
