By winning five consecutive games to start the softball season—something they haven’t done since 2017—the Pass Christian Lady Pirates are gaining momentum, especially after mercy-ruling their last three opponents.

The Lady Pirates extended their early lead with four runs in the top of the third inning, thanks to RBI singles by Cobern, Purchner and Saucier.
Makinlee Allen earned the win, allowing only five hits and two runs (zero earned) over five innings, striking out six and walking three.
Landry Boleware took the loss and went five innings, giving up 12 runs (three earned) on 11 hits, striking out two and walking five.
Pass Christian accumulated 11 hits as Purchner, Saucier, Emma Purchner and Cobern each collected two hits. Saucier led Pass Christian with four RBIs as the infielder went 2-for-4.
