PERKINSTON — Andrew Zielinski and Tytiana Buckley have been named Bulldogs of the Week for Feb. 5-11.

Zielinski, a sophomore from Ocean Springs, won his first collegiate tournament to lead the No. 1 Bulldogs to a dominant win at the Gulf Coast Invitational in Diamondhead. He shot 3-under over 36 holes to win by two shots.

Buckley, a sophomore guard from Meridian, had a 27-point, 16-rebound double-double to lead Gulf Coast to a 74-66 win over No. 7 Pearl River. She shot 3-of-7 from the 3-point line and made all six 2-point attempts. She had 11 points and six rebounds in a 57-54 loss at Northeast Mississippi.

Also nominated:

Javeon Gordon, a sophomore guard from Mount Olive, had 16 points and five rebounds off the bench to lead Gulf Coast to a 64-58 win over MACCC-leading Pearl River. He made 7-of-9 from the 3-point arc on the week and had 11 points in an 80-75 loss at Northeast Mississippi.

Jett Harrell, a sophomore right-hander from Clarksdale, went 3-1 for the Bulldogs last week. In 19.2 innings, she allowed just two earned runs and struck out 13 for a 0.71 ERA.

Dom Jackson, a freshman outfielder/designated hitter from Gulf Breeze, Fla., homered in his fourth straight game to help Gulf Coast beat Coastal Alabama-North 19-5 at Brewton. He went 2-for-3 with a double, two walks and four RBI.

Jorja Roberson, a sophomore right fielder from Branyan, batted .400 in six games for the Bulldogs. She had a double, a triple and drove in three runs.

Aiden Seymour, a freshman righty from D’Iberville, struck out three in three innings of two-hit work against Coastal Alabama-North.
