Retirement lasted briefly for Coach Richie Tillman, as he joins 228 Sports as the Business Development Director.
“I’m very excited about joining 228 Sports. It’s a great avenue for students and athletes on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. It’s a wonderful way to highlight their talents and abilities.”
Tillman coached at Pascagoula High School for 28 years. With fifteen years as an assistant coach and thirteen years as the head coach, he stresses the importance of building relationships in sports, business, and life.
“I love building relationships. Coaching is building relationships. I worked in education for 28 years, and that’s building relationships. I am looking forward to building new relationships with 228 Sports while working with some old relationships at the same time.”
As 228 Sports continues to grow and serve as an opportunity to highlight student-athletes and local athletic programs, publisher Jamey Foster looks forward to having Tillman on the 228 Sports team.
“I have known Richie for a long time, and he is an excellent people person. I was excited at the opportunity to recruit him to help us take 228 Sports to another level. He is a great fit, and I look forward to having him coach us at 228sports.com,” Foster shared.
