No. 12 Mississippi Gulf Coast dominated Pratt on its second day of women’s tennis action at the Tyler Spring Invitational. The Bulldogs won 9-0 over the Beavers on the second day of play in Texas

Angela Moreno (So., Sevilla, Spain/IES V Centenario) and Danique Vermue (Fr., ‘s-Heerenhoek, Netherlands/Scheldemond College) won their No. 1 doubles match 8-2, and Valeria Callejo (Madrid, Spain/I.E.S. Ortega y Gasset) and Kendall Burn (So., Wiggins/Stone) won 8-0 at No. 2.

Moreno, Vermue, Dubrow and Niyah Strickland (So., Pachuta/Quitman) picked up singles points while dropping only one game.

Pratt had only four players, so the Bulldogs won three courts by default.

Earlier in the day, No. 3 Tyler beat Gulf Coast 9-0.

The Bulldogs play No. 7 Collin County at 9 a.m. Tuesday.
