D’IBERVILLE — The biggest Thanksgiving prep basketball tournament in the “Southern Six” this week tips off at D’Iberville High School Monday morning.

The D’Iberville High School Thanksgiving Tournament is a two-day affair that features a total of 11 teams in the 228Sport coverage area and consists of 14 games total over Monday and Tuesday.

On the girl’s side, Bay High, Ocean Springs, West Harrison and the host Lady Warriors are all in the tourney, while the boy’s side of the ledger includes Bay High, West Harrison, Ocean Springs, Long Beach, Stone, St. Patrick and the host squad Warriors.

Also, four other teams from Mississippi will also be in action as girls’ teams from Presbyterian Christian School in Hattiesburg and Columbia will be featured as well as boys’ squads from Tupelo and Presbyterian Christian School in Hattiesburg as well.

Action gets underway Monday morning. Here is the complete two-day schedule:

Monday

11 a.m. — West Harrison (girls) vs. Bay High

12:35 p.m. — Ocean Springs (girls) vs. Presbyterian Christian

2:10 — Bay High (boys) vs. Presbyterian Christian

3:45 — D’Iberville (girls) vs. Columbia

5:20 — Ocean Springs (boys) vs. Tupelo

6:55 — D’Iberville (boys) vs. West Harrison

Tuesday

9 a.m. — Ocean Springs (girls) vs. Columbia

10:35 — Bay High (boys) vs. Stone

12:10 p.m. — West Harrison (boys) vs. Columbia

1:45 — Bay High (girls) vs. Presbyterian Christian

3:15 — D’Iberville (Boys) vs. Tupelo

4:50 — Long Beach (boys) vs. Presbyterian Christian

6:25 — D’Iberville (girls) vs. West Harrison

8:00 — Ocean Springs (boys) vs. St. Patrick

In other action in the “Southern Six” this week, George County is hosting a two-day tourney as well.

Here is that schedule:

Monday (all games played at Sellers Gym)

10:00 am — Poplarville vs. East Central (girls)

11:30 am — Poplarville vs. East Central (boys)

1:00 pm — North Forrest vs. George County (girls)

2:30 pm — North Forrest vs. George County (boys)

Tuesday

10:00 am — Girls’ Consolation

11:30 am — Boys’ Consolation

1:00 pm — Girls’ Championship

2:30 pm — Boys’ Championship

Also, Picayune is hosting a two-day tourney as well.

Here is the schedule for both days:

Monday

3:00 P.M. — West Jone (girls) vs. Lumberton

4:30 — St. Stanislaus (boys) vs. Sumrall

6:00 — Picayune (girls) vs. Sumrall

7:30 — Picayune (boys) vs. West Jones

Tuesday😫

2:00 P.M. — Sumrall (girls) vs. Lumberton

3:30 — Picayune (girls) vs. Davidson

5:00 — Picayune (boys) vs. St. Stanislaus

And, Gulfport is also hosting a tw0-day event

The games get underway Monday, and here is the schedule for the opening day:

Monday

3 p.m. — Hattiesburg girls vs. MRA

4:30 — Hancock (boys) vs. MRA

6:00 — Gulfport (girls) vs. Northeast Lauderdale

7:30 — Gulfport (boys) vs. Heritage

The action continues on Tuesday in the same time frame in the true tourney format, as winners meet winners with the titles on the line and the losers from Monday facing off in the consolation contests.
