No. 13 Mississippi Gulf Coast breezed past Holmes 9-0 in MACCC men’s tennis action Wednesday.
The Bulldogs (7-6, 7-1 MACCC) won easily at Goodman, dropping just two games in three doubles matches. Hiram Havard (So., Vancleave/Vancleave) and Gonzalo Cotter (Fr., Valencia, Spain/IVLA) won 8-0 at No. 1, and Vicente Faria (Fr., Lisbon, Portugal/Escola Secundária de Fonseca Benevides) and Grant Wilson (Fr., Hurley/East Central) did likewise at No. 2.
Cotter, Faria, Wilson and Cooper Caplan (Fr., Ocean Springs/Ocean Springs) lost just one game each on their singles courts.
Gulf Coast turns right around and hosts Meridian on Thursday. First serves at the MGCCC Tennis Complex are set for 2 p.m.
