POPLARVILLE, Miss. — Morgan Craft (Picayune) kicked the Pearl River football team to victory last week at East Central, and his heroic effort has earned him the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference Special Teams Player of the Week award. Craft is the first Wildcat football player to earn a weekly conference award this season.

Pearl River erased a 13-0 deficit in the second half on the road against the Warriors, largely thanks to Craft. The freshman was perfect in the contest, making all three of his field goal attempts and both of his extra-point chances. His first two field goals of the night were from 34 and 38 yards out. The 38-yarder was the longest of his collegiate career.

Neither kick was bigger than his final kick of the night. In the dying seconds of the contest, PRCC trotted Craft out for a potential game-winning field goal from 32 yards out. After a perfect snap and hold, Craft sent his kick attempt up and through the uprights to earn a 23-20 victory, sending Wildcats sprinting around the field in excitement.
