POPLARVILLE, Miss. — Following dominant weeks for their respective teams, Pearl River’s Tiago Honorio Jr. (São Paulo, Brazil) and Morgan Mears (Hurley; East Central) have been named Wildcats of the Week.
TIAGO HONORIO JR.
Honorio Jr. earns the award after earning a hat trick against the visiting Holmes Bulldogs in PRCC’s lone match of the week. All three of his goals were assisted by midfielder Tycho van Haaren (Doetinchem, Netherlands). Honorio Jr. has now scored in five consecutive matches, scoring 11 goals in that span. The hat trick was his fourth of the season.
Honorio Jr. has been electric in 2024. The 6-foot-4 forward has bagged 16 goals and five assists through PRCC’s first 12 matches of the year. His 16 goals are second in the MACCC, and his five assists rank fifth in the conference.
