POPLARVILLE, Miss. — Pearl River has named its Wildcats of the Week, and rodeo’s Kate Eiland (Kentwood, La.) and baseball’s Thomas Crabtree (Collierville, Tenn.) have earned the selections.

ANNA KATE ROUNSAVILLE
Rounsaville was hot at the plate for the Wildcats last week, helping them go 3-1 on the week. The freshman had a .600 batting average, .636 on-base percentage and 1.100 slugging percentage, driving in six runs on the week. She scored five runs, hit two doubles and belted one home run.

Rounsaville has been a fantastic addition to the Pearl River lineup in 2024. She has featured in 35 games and is hitting .322 with 27 RBIs. She has tacked on seven doubles and four home runs. She’s walked eight times and stole five bases.

THOMAS CRABTREE
Crabtree repeats as Wildcat of the Week following a dominant showing against Hinds. The right-hander toed the rubber against the Eagles and threw seven innings of perfect baseball before losing the perfect-game bid on an infield single to open the eighth frame. He allowed just one hit on the day and struck out a season-high 13 batters to help the Wildcats win 9-2.

Crabtree has been electric all season long for the Wildcats and currently holds a 6-1 record through nine games started. The Tennessee native holds an incredible 2.54 ERA and has struck out 69 batters.
